Everything about this movie screams amateur. From the poor acting, to the unrealistic plot, it could’ve been filmed by high schoolers. I’m not surprised that Renny Harlin (director) directed Cutthroat Island, one of the biggest bombs in Hollywood history. John Cena stars in 12 Rounds as a detective whose wife is kidnapped by an ex-con, and he is put through multiple tasks designed by the kidnapper, in order to save his wife. There is no originality displayed here, as it seemed to have modeled itself after Speed, and some PG-13 explosions. The only viewers of the film who will be satisfied are boys of ages 10-11, that are new to the area of cinema, as it is moderately entertaining. And as for John Cena, stick to WWE.
